We are slowly being replaced by Replicas of ourselves (version 2)
Guitar : Brandon van Eeden
Vocals : Ray Douglas
Bass : Ross Turpin
Drums : Juan de Lange
Again this song was written by Will from the Rising End when he was the stand in vocalist for Crossingpoint. Another great job!!!
We are slowly getting replaced by technology: our jobs, lifestyles and everything else around us. It’s not all bad. I’m writing this on a pc which you are reading on a pc on a website on the internet!!! What this is about is being aware of these things. That they are destroying our environment and are taking away our personal interaction in this world. People don’t even have to leave the house to live anymore. They just use the net, shopping, banking, friends, hobbies, entertainment, love-life….etc. The more and more advanced we are becoming the more we are wanting these things and become obsessed with having the new this or new that. Again this is not necessarily a bad thing, but when it affects our judgment on people, and our acceptance of them - then it IS.
“They have money, so I will respect them more” must be born!!!
Also, we become so dependent on our gadgets for everything, just think back to when you could remember so many peoples’ phone numbers. So again hear what I’m saying it’s not all bad, a lot of it is good, but we mustnt get obsessed and so dependant of our technology that it over takes our lives and we forget who we are and what we are capable of.

Lyrics
Copper wire conversations
Put on your best telephone voice
Static words buzz through electric wire fuzz Birds dot the cable-lined sky Like urban sheet music These towers are our new trees
Cell phone signals rush hidden messages through our bodies And run us through like swords penned on paper This is the new wind!
“Face to face communication through a heavy fog Are they our voices, Or the voices of computers out here to slowly replace us? .”
Does our ever-expanding convenience
Not replace parts of us with pistons and spark plugs?
Just more ways in which we are becoming bionic!
