The 600+ insanity of HELLFEST in Durban back in January has been driving us to new levels of touring inspiration! Feb and March saw us doing smaller local shows in areas we don’t usually get to. These have ALL been extremely fun.. Who can forget the 4 song set at Detour in Pietermaritzburg complete with the real mccoy version of headwalking by Ray in our first song? Oh my FACE!
We are going to be ALL over the country in the next few months though, take a look at that schedule above. Ray is sporting a new hairstyle as well kids.. be prepared!!
QIK VIDEOCAST
Last night we did a live videocast from our rehearsal room.. chatted a bit, messed around a LOT, and played a song. All live if you happened to login at that time. You can still see the clips at http://www.qik.com/crossingpoint – they get archived for later viewing automatically. Check ‘em out!
We are going to do this again, and be the first band to do this in South Africa (???).. on Saturday 4 April!!!! Yes.. We will be videocasting QIK video from the Winston Hotel live, showing you the vibe outside, and at least ONE song from every band that plays.. CDC, us, Face First, and City of Gates. SO BE SURE TO CHECK THIS OUT from 9pm. If we get bored at soundcheck we may even start doing some stuff from 5pm. If you sign up to QIK you will be automatically emailed when we start videocasting, and better yet, you can chat REALtime to us.
This is one easy and free way for people in other parts of the country to ‘come to this gig’ haha.

*CDC *(Cool Dudes Chillen) emerged in September 2003 from the silent suburban streets of 3 small towns in Pennyslvania, USA. Having started as a purely studio project the members decided to take the band out on the road to test audience response. The buzz around their self financed and distributed demos quickly saw CDC begin playing shows all over the east coast and soon spreading their ‘crowd war’ over the USA, Canada and Europe.
The band have consistently embraced the DIY way of life and have done everything on their own, never once succumbing to pressure from non-DIY record labels, booking agents and promoters. Everything CDC has, CDC has gained on their own. Never riding coattails and never sucking dick, CDC rose up and built a name solely upon desire and devotion to the music and the road.
The band have recently completed their soon to be released full length and are hitting the road again after almost 8 months off, With the tightest and most solid line up to date, the band continue their plan to carve their name deeper in everyone’s minds…
