We got to sleep in on fri morning cos we only had to be at the studio at 10:30. Me, JP and Ray arrived together, and Brandon was waiting there, ready to rock out. We decided to start with some vocals so Ray did his warm-up’s and started with ‘Tracing Adams footsteps’. Rays vocals were sounding good, and were getting better as time went on.. Time was not on our side, and after two songs of Ray belting it out, it was bout time he had a rest.
If you know Ray, he doesn’t do anything half heartedly. when he screams into the mic, he gives it all he’s got, EVERY take.. i’s impressed.. Doom started doing guitars for the rest of the songs that we hadn’t done from the day before. Brandon knows exactly wat he’s doing, all business wen he steps in there. dadada. done, ok next song. dadada. done, ok next song. and so on..(?) While doom was tracking the rest of us were, sleeping, eating and practising taking corners! Jp launched a perfect ball onto rays head and he slammed it past me, into the studio..(”come on guys, this is a studio”) We started getting realy good at headers.. JP and I even had some insane set pieces.. ‘Slingshot’ and ‘the reflector’ are just a few.. After lots of Rooibos and Chip rolls, Ray did vocals for another song..woo…
